Josh Schwartz, the creator of TV shows such as The O.C. and Chuck, will make his feature directing debut with Paramount's upcoming comedy Fun Size.

Maximilian Werner wrote the script, which centers on a snarky teenage girl who is forced to take her younger brother out trick-or-treating. When she loses him, she must go and find her brother before anyone finds out he's missing.

We reported back in May that Paramount acquired the script, which is described as a cross between Superbad and Adventures In Babysitting. Josh Schwartz had already been on board as a producer and now he will direct the comedy.

Although Fun Size isn't officially greenlit yet, Paramount is eyeing a spring production start, with filming to take place in St. Louis. Fun Size is being targeted for a Halloween 2011 release.
