According to Variety, J.T. Petty has been hired to write the horror pic Storage, which Brit shingles Lucky Elliot and Redbus are producing.

In the pic, terror stalks an underground storage facility, where the only hope of salvation may just mean a fate worse than death.

Storage came out of the U.K. Film Council's "25 Words or Less" project, whereby writers pitch stories, a certain number of which are selected and brought to producers. The Council will fund the development of Storage.

Petty will rewrite the original script pitched by scribes Chris Denne and Matt Winn.

Lucky Elliot's James Gay-Rees will produce with Redbus partners Zygi Kamasa and Simon Franks.

Petty is writing and will direct Lions Gate's The Burrowers, which Blue Star is producing. He also wrote the vidgame for Batman Begins, due out this summer from Electronic Arts and Warner Bros.
