Judd Apatow is teaming up with Universal Pictures to produce the new comedy Do Gooders, although he will not direct the project.

The studio acquired a pitch from Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck (A Good Old Fashioned Orgy), who will write the screenplay. Little is known about the plot of this comedy, although it centers on actors who are quick to help out those in need for a worthy cause.

Judd Apatow is lining up a new untitled comedy which he will write and direct. We reported two days ago that Megan Fox may be up for a role in the movie, which is a spin-off of the 2007 comedy Knocked Up. Judd Apatow is also a producer of Bridesmaids, which hits theaters on May 13.

No production schedule was given for Do Gooders.
