Julia Garner is set to star in an upcoming new thriller movie. The news comes as Garner’s Netflix series Ozark is set to release its fourth and final season on January 21, 2022. Garner gained critical acclaim and recognition for her portrayal of Ruth Langmore in the series alongside Jason Bateman and Laura Linney and has been booking big projects ever since. According to an exclusive by Deadline, her recent role is in the upcoming Paramount Players' project, Apartment 7A.

Details about the specifics of the plot have not been announced but the film is set to be produced by John Krasinski, known for his work on The Office and A Quiet Place franchise. He is to be joined by Allyson Seeger for Sunday Night. Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller will also be joining as producers for Platinum Dunes. Alexa Ginsburg is overseeing the project for Sunday Night while Alex Ginno is overseeing Platinum Dunes. The psychological thriller will be directed by Natalie Erika James and will co-write the latest script with Christian White based on a draft by Skylar James.

Ozark gave Julie Garner her breakout role. Season 4, part 1, which brings about the show's fourth and final season on Netflix, will be premiering on January 21 on the Netflix streaming service. The synopsis reads: "Marty and Wendy are rid of Helen and climb to the top of Navarro's empire. They find another opportunity to get out of the Ozarks but some past sins won't stay buried and the most dangerous threats come from blood."

In addition to her Netflix series that has won her two Emmy awards, Garner was recently nominated for an Independent Spirit award due to her performance in The Assistant, a film about a film producer’s assistant who has to grapple with the fact and try to stop her bosses frequent sexual advances and abuses of power. Garner has also been cast in Shonda Rhimes’ new Netflix series, Inventing Anna. Inventing Anna tells the story of Anna Delvey, an infamous con artist who scammed many New York socialites.

In addition to creating the series, Rhimes has also co-written 10 episodes. The series will stream on Netflix as a part of Rhimes' multi-project deal which included the hit series Bridgerton. Inventing Anna is set to be released on February 11, 2022, and will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix. Although Garner’s breakout performance in Ozark is coming to an end this month, her fame is just getting started and the 27-year-old actress is looking forward to a promising career.

No other casting announcements have been made for Apartment 7A and the plot is still being kept under wraps. As Garner’s involvement has just been announced this week, it is safe to say Apartment 7A won’t be expected to air until next year. Although it looks like it’ll be worth the wait!
