Last week, Dwayne Johnson shared a new video through social media, revealing that production has gotten under way on Jumanji 2, with the video showcasing a Hawaiian priest blessing the set before the actor and his co-stars got to work. While that video offered a brief glimpse at the actors in costume, today we have the official first look at Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan in costume through photos shared by both Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart on social media. Dwayne Johnson even revealed the names of all of these characters.

Dwayne Johnson announced earlier this month that his character is named Dr. Bravestone by showcasing concept art of his character. Today he revealed that Kevin Hart's character is named Moose Finbar, with Jack Black playing Professor Shelly Oberon and Karen Gillan playing Ruby Roundhouse. Here's what the actor had to say in his full Instagram post below.

"EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK: #Jumanji The journey continues.. "Moose Finbar" (Kevin Hart). "Ruby Roundhouse" (Karen Gillan. Her jungle wardrobe will make sense when you know the plot. Trust me;). "Professor Shelly Oberon" (Jack Black). "Dr. Smolder Bravestone" 'cause well.. he smolders. Hard workin' and FUN first day of shooting in the jungle with this talented and crazy motley crew. Jack is brilliant, Karen is bad assery, Kevin is sharply hilarious and I smell good. Extremely hard trying to keep a straight face in these scenes. Too funny. We're makin' a good one. More to come.. #JUMANJI #WishFulfillment #TheGameThatPlaysYou"

Last night, Kevin Hart sent out his own photo on Instagram, which features all four characters in slightly different poses. He also had plenty of high praise for his co-stars, revealing that he can't wait to get back to work today. Here's what he had to say in his Instagram message.

"Day 1 of shooting Jumanji" is officially in the can. We had a amazing first day. The chemistry & energy of our cast & crew was beyond amazing!!!! This movie is going to be dope as hell....Can't wait to get back to work tomorrow @therock @karengillanofficial & jack black!!! #Jumanji"

Sony hasn't released an official synopsis yet, but Dwayne Johnson has confirmed that this project is not a reboot, and it will pay homage to the late Robin Williams' character, Dr. Alan Parish. Nick Jonas is also set to star, but no other cast members have been revealed quite yet. Jake Kasdan is directing from a script that has been worked on by writers such as Zach Helm (Stranger Than Fiction), Chris McKenna (The LEGO Batman Movie), Jeff Pinkner (The Dark Tower), Scott Rosenberg (Gone In 60 Seconds) and Erik Sommers (Spider-Man: Homecoming). Take a look at the latest photos from the Jumanji set as filming officially gets under way.
