The title for Jumanji 3 is reportedly Jumanji: The Next Level. The new trailer is rated G and is expected to be shown in front of Marvel Studios' Spider-Man: Far From Home next week. Dwayne Johnson and crew wrapped production back in May and as usual, the actor is already out promoting and taking care of other projects. With that being said, the studio is anxious to get Jumanji 3 out after Welcome to the Jungle made nearly a billion dollars at the global box office in 2017.

Jumanji: The Next Level has not been officially confirmed as the title of the sequel yet, but it sounds like it could be the one. Keeping with the gaming theme, a new video game for the franchise is currently being developed and will be available before the sequel hits theaters in December. A teaser for the game was recently released and it showed off a style which was very close to the look of the wildly popular game Fortnite.

Jumanji 3 sees the return of Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillian, and Jack Black, along with their young counterparts, Alex Wolff, Ser'Darius Blain, Morgan Turner, and Madison Iseman. Nick Jonas and Colin Hanks are coming back too and join newcomers Awkwafina, Danny Glover, Danny DeVito, and Dania Ramirez. From the looks of the set photos released by the cast and crew during production, everybody was very happy to be reunited and working with the latest cast additions. Even with a decent amount of set pictures, storyline specifics are still being kept under wraps. And speaking of keeping things under wraps, Jumanji 3 officially wrapped in May.

Director Jake Kasdan spoke about Jumanji 3 last year and revealed that the sequel will have more in common with Welcome to the Jungle as opposed to the original Jumanji movie starring Robin Williams. The director was obviously tight lipped, which may have had some franchise fans a bit frustrated. The last installment didn't really leave a whole of options for a sequel since the gang took the video game cartridge and destroyed it in order to make sure the same situation didn't happen to anybody else. Regardless, Kasdan and crew had their work cut out for them when it came down to making an intriguing storyline for a sequel.

Jumanji 3 is all set to hit theaters on December 13th, which is one week before The Rise of Skywalker opens in theaters. This is the same battle that went down with Welcome to the Jungle and The Last Jedi, so Sony is confident their sequel can stand up to the Star Wars franchise yet again. With the original cast returning and the addition of Danny DeVito and others, there's a good chance they'll be giving Lucasfilm some stiff competition. Alberta Film Ratings was the first to report the trailer rating and title of Jumanji: The Next Level. It's only a matter of time before Dwayne Johnson officially announces the title.
