When Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters in a few short days, one of the new trailers debuting ahead of it is Disney's The Jungle Book, which is set for release on April 15, 2016. To get fans ready for this new trailer, Disney has released a brief trailer preview on Vine, along with a motion poster. The Vine video includes brief looks at the snake Kaa (voiced by Scarlett Johansson), the tiger Shere Khan (voiced by Idris Elba), the panther Bagheera (Ben Kingsley), the bear Baloo (Bill Murray) and the ape King Louie (Christopher Walken), along with the only live-action character, Mowgli (Neel Sethi).

Directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man), based on Rudyard Kipling's timeless stories and inspired by Disney's classic animated film, The Jungle Book is an all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi), a man-cub who's been raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan (voice of Idris Elba), who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat. Urged to abandon the only home he's ever known, Mowgli embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery, guided by panther-turned-stern mentor Bagheera (voice of Ben Kingsley), and the free-spirited bear Baloo (voice of Bill Murray).

Along the way, Mowgli encounters jungle creatures who don't exactly have his best interests at heart, including Kaa (voice of Scarlett Johansson), a python whose seductive voice and gaze hypnotizes the man-cub, and the smooth-talking King Louie (voice of Christopher Walken), who tries to coerce Mowgli into giving up the secret to the elusive and deadly red flower: fire. The all-star cast also includes Lupita Nyong'o as the voice of the fiercely protective mother wolf Raksha, and Giancarlo Esposito as the voice of wolf pack's alpha male Akela. The Jungle Book seamlessly blends live-action with photorealistic CGI animals and environments, using up-to-the-minute technology and storytelling techniques to immerse audiences in an enchanting and lush world. The wild adventure swings into theaters in 3D on April 15, 2016.

The Jungle Book opens in 2D and 3D theaters nationwide on April 15, 2016, which is shaping up to be a very busy weekend at the box office. The Jungle Book will go up against The Weinstein Company's Amityville: The Awakening, Warner Bros.' Barbershop 3, Lionsgate's Criminal and Paramount's Everybody Wants Some. We still have several months until The Jungle Book hits theaters, so it's possible some of these release dates may shift.

Warner Bros. is also releasing their own adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's timeless story, entitled The Jungle Book: Origins, which hits theaters in October 2017. The original story is in the public domain, which means any studio can take a crack at it without purchasing the rights. Neel Sethi's Mowgli is the only character who will be seen in live-action, with the rest of the cast members providing the voices for these jungle animals. Take a look at this trailer preview and motion poster from The Jungle Book, and stay tuned for the new trailer.
