Jurassic Park is one of the biggest movies ever. For reasons that are unexplainable, the opened shirt of Jeff Goldblum's Dr. Ian Malcolm character has become a world-famous meme in recent years. But how did that scene come together? Goldblum has broken his silence about the open shirt scene that has recently been announced as a Funko Pop! vinyl figure. As it turns out, not a whole lot of thought went into one of Jeff Goldblum's sexiest and funniest moments on the big screen.

In a recent interview, Jeff Goldblum spoke about his career in depth and revealed the reasoning behind the open shirt scene in Jurassic Park. The idea to open his shirt was simply made for logical reasons. They were just attacked by a T-Rex and he had just broken his leg. Goldblum explains.

"It's supposed to be Costa Rica, right? So, things are hot and I'm sure I'm in some sort of fever. So, all the logic is that we gotta get some of these wet clothes off immediately. As I remember, I don't think anybody fought me on that."

Jeff Goldblum is returning to the Jurassic Park franchise for the upcoming sequel in the Jurassic World trilogy and fans are very excited about the return of Dr. Ian Malcolm. The first posters released for Jurassic World 2 featured Malcolm's famous quote of "Life finds a way," which hyped up the fan base even more. However, it isn't clear just how big of a part Goldblum will have in the sequel, but it seems more than likely that he'll have a cameo instead of a larger part. Perhaps we'll get callback to the opened shirt glory of Jurassic Park.

As for his time on Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok as the Grandmaster, Jeff Goldblum gushed about getting the chance to watch Cate Blanchett work. The two actors had previously worked on The Life Aquatic, but did not share any scenes, which happened again while working on the third Thor movie as well. So, Goldblum made sure that they had overlapping days so that he could go over and watch her work. He had this to say about watching Blanchett work.

"I watched her act. I think she's magically spectacular."

There we have it. The true story behind one of the most famous memes in recent history. Jeff Goldblum will be seen as Dr. Ian Malcolm again in Jurassic World 2, which hits theaters on June 22nd.
