San Diego Comic-Con is going to have an exclusive action figure that Jurassic Park fans are going to love. The iconic John Hammond is a new addition to Mattel's Jurassic World Legacy Collection and he will only be available at Comic-Con next week, so fans may want to act fast if they want to get their hands on one. With that being said, Mattel will be offering up pre-orders on their official site and Hammonds purchased ahead of time can be picked up at the Mattel booth after checking in.

The Jurassic World Legacy Collection John Hammond action figure is approximately 3.75 inches tall and includes his iconic cane and a stand with hatching dinosaur eggs. The figure "captures his innovative spirit, his caring role as a grandfather and his high expectations for his theme park on Isla Nublar." As for pricing, the Hammond figure will be sold for $15, both online and at the booth. As for when the pre-orders will go live, that isn't clear at this point, but one would assume early next week. Again, once pre-ordered, they will have to be picked up at Comic-Con.

While the John Hammond Jurassic World action figure is a Comic-Con exclusive, it isn't clear how many of them Mattel produced. However, since these are an exclusive item, they will more than likely end up being sold for a lot more money other places after the event. Mattel has not announced whether or not the left overs will be sold online after Comic-Con shuts down next Sunday. Basically, like all Comic-Con exclusives, John Hammond will probably end up selling out and fast.

The Jurassic World Legacy Collection also features non-Comic-Con exclusive figures like Dr. Ian Malcolm, the Extreme Chompin' T-Rex, mini dinos, the Velociraptor, Alan Grant, Dr. Ellie Sattler, Robert Muldoon, and a whole lot more. It's actually pretty surprising that they never released a John Hammond figure until now, but there's no time like the present and Jurassic Park fans will more than likely be pretty happy to set him up on their shelves at home along with their other pieces from the franchise. Mattel will also probably have a lot of the aforementioned action figures at their booth.

If you're going to be down in San Diego next weekend, head over to the Mattel booth to grab your own John Hammond action figure. Hammond died shortly after the events of The Lost World, so this is also a nice tribute for Jurassic Park fans who have been looking for a way to honor the creator of the most dangerous park known to man. You can head over to Mattel for pre-order information and then have a friend pick yours up if you can't make it down there. Hopefully there will be enough for all Jurassic Park fans who want one to get one.
