Will Alan, Ellie and Ian finally be reunited in Jurassic World 3? It's very much starting to seem that way, as Bryce Dallas Howard has strongly hinted that's going to be the case. Given the success of the last two movies, at least commercially speaking, Universal is giving us at least one more dino-filled adventure in a couple of years, which will presumably wrap things up. And what better way to do that than to bring Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern and Sam Neill all back together again and reunite the original trio from Jurassic Park? Not to get anyone's hopes up, but that very well may happen.

Bryce Dallas Howard, who has been portraying one of the leads, Claire, in the Jurassic World movies, has been making the rounds promoting the Elton John biopic Rocketman as of late. During a recent interview, she was asked specifically if she was excited about possibly sharing some scenes with the actors who brought Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler and Dr. Ian Malcolm to life in Jurassic Park. Maintaining a very bad poker face while answering, Howard had this to say.

"Yes, very much so. I don't know what's been confirmed or whatever, but I'll blink if it's happening... maybe..."

So, while we can't take this as definitive confirmation, if we were to ask a Magic 8-Ball, we'd probably get "Signs point to yes" in response. The characters of Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler and Ian Malcolm have all returned to the franchise at various points. However, all three of them have never been in the same movie together since Steven Spielberg's 1993 blockbuster classic. If we're to assume that Jurassic World 3 is indeed going to conclude the franchise, it becomes a now or ever situation.

Jeff Goldblum returned as Ian Malcolm in The Lost World, the first sequel in the franchise. He also returned in last year's Fallen Kingdom, albeit in something of a glorified cameo. Sam Neill, meanwhile, led Jurassic Park III as Alan Grant, with Laura Dern returning as Ellie Sattler, but only briefly and she didn't have a chance to really get in on the action. Dern has previously expressed her desire, repeatedly, to come back. So it doesn't seem like Universal or director Colin Trevorrow would have any issue pulling this off. It's just a matter of making it work with the story.

As far as that story goes, not much has been revealed. We just know that Isla Nublar was wiped off the map in Fallen Kingdom and that dinosaurs are now loose in the world. Chris Pratt will be returning as Owen alongside Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire. Despite the setup, Colin Trevorrow has stated that it won't revolve around dinosaurs just attacking cities. He's also expressed his desire to see the movie as more of a "Jurassic Park 6," as opposed to a third entry in the new franchise. Jurassic World 3 is set to arrive in theaters on June 11, 2021.
