Long before the first trailer for Jurassic World debuted in November, reports surfaced that fans were going to see a brand new dinosaur that hadn't appeared in the original Jurassic Park or any of its sequels. Photos from an upcoming LEGO Set revealed that the dinosaur was called the D-Rex, or Diablous Rex, but Jurassic World 2015 received an updated toy list where it is revealed that the D-Rex may actually be called Indominous Rex or I-Rex. According to a Scified reader, this translates to "Fierce/untamable king." Take a look at Jurassic World 2015's caption from their Instagram post.

"Jurassic World Updated Toy List! We were right about one thing the Diabolus Rex is actually called the Indominus Rex or Irex! Along with the Indominus Rex there are a variety of other toys as well like the Mashers Hybrid Dinos and along with Trex and Velociraptor Toys. Hasbro has confirmed Indominus Rex, Trex, Velociraptor, Mosasaur, Ankylosaurus, Triceratops and more! If you have any more questions ask my great friend @90skid4ever down below as he found this and sent this to me. I think I'm the first to post this on Instagram which is awesome!"

There had been rumors that this dinosaur, which was genetically created at Jurassic World, had received a name change, but this is the first we've heard about the new name. Do you think Indominous Rex/I-Rex is a better name for this hybrid dinosaur? Check out the Instagram post below, and chime in with your thoughts. Director Colin Trevorrow's Jurassic World hits theaters on June 12.
