Both old and new characters get spotlighted in this set of character posters for the upcoming dino-sequel Jurassic World Dominion. Released via Instagram, the likes of the Jurassic Park legacy trio, Laura Dern as Dr. Ellie Sattler, Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm, and Sam Neill as Dr. Alan Grant, will join Jurassic World duo Chris Pratt as Owen Grady and Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing, in the hopes of surviving a world now shared by humans and dinosaurs.

Jurassic World Dominion will be the first time that the legacy characters will come face-to-face with their more recent counterparts. Audiences are not only excited about seeing the likes of Alan Grant, Ian Malcolm and Ellie Settler dragged back into the fray, but also the culmination of a franchise which first began almost three decades ago.

"This is the movie that I've been waiting to make from the beginning," director Colin Trevorrow previously said of Jurassic World Dominion. "It's the one that we have spent the past two movies building to. It really was part of a larger story and part of the design. And I think people may be underestimating the size and importance of Laura Dern and Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum's characters in this movie."

Chris Pratt has since teased the finality of Jurassic World Dominion saying, "You know when you go to a fireworks display like the Fourth of July or New Years, there's always the finale? You're waiting for it, and then boom! And you're like, 'Oh! This is it! This is the finale!' I feel like the whole movie is that. It's...30 years in the making, it's the sixth Jurassic film, it's the end of this franchise."

Jurassic World: Dominion Will Stomp into Theaters Next Month

Directed by Colin Trevorrow, Jurassic World Dominion will pick up with our large cast of characters around four years after the Lockwood estate incident at the end of the previous installment, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Dinosaurs now live—and hunt—alongside humans worldwide, but this fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history's most fearsome creatures.

The plot will see the return of several heroes from the Jurassic World franchise, such as Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, who this time must team up with some familiar faces from the franchise's past. The sequel will bring back several legacy characters from Jurassic Park, including Dr. Alan Grant, Dr. Ellie Sattler, Dr. Ian Malcolm, and Dr. Lewis Dodgson.

Jurassic World Dominion will therefore feature a large ensemble cast, comprised of Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill, BD Wong, Omar Sy, Isabella Sermon, Justice Smith, and Daniella Pineda, each of whom will reprise their roles from previous Jurassic movies. They are joined by newcomers DeWanda Wise, Mamoudou Athie, Campbell Scott, Scott Haze, and Dichen Lachman.

Jurassic World Dominion is scheduled to be theatrically released in the United States on June 10, 2022 by Universal Pictures.
