Following the release of the exciting trailer for Jurassic World Dominion, a new poster for the highly anticipated sequel has been unveiled and teases the “epic conclusion of the Jurassic era.” The third installment in the Jurassic World franchise, and the sixth big-screen Jurassic outing overall, Jurassic World Dominion will unite the heroes of both past and present as dinosaurs are unleashed across the world. Unsurprisingly, with disastrous results.

Released via the official Twitter account, this latest poster for Jurassic World: Dominion harkens back to several staples of the franchise. Standing large in the middle of the promo is the original logo, which depicts a silhouette of the skeleton of the famous Tyrannosaurus. Only this time, the image has been cast in glorious amber, the golden resin that first encased the mosquito, which led to the creation of the first Jurassic Park.

Jurassic World Dominion will pick up around four years after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, during which several genetically engineered dinosaurs were auctioned to companies around the world. Of course, this being a movie based in the Jurassic series, an assortment of dinosaurs escaped and have been unleashed on the U.S. mainland. Jurassic World Dominion will finally see humans and dinosaurs trying to coexist, with the likes of Chris Pratt as Owen Grady and Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing teaming up with legacy heroes Laura Dern as Dr. Ellie Sattler, Sam Neill as Dr. Alan Grant, and Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm.

Teased by both the latest poster and trailer, Jurassic World Dominion is expected to bring the franchise to its conclusion. For now, at least. Indeed, bringing the original characters back alongside the newer ones introduced in Jurassic World was always director Colin Trevorrow’s intention.

"This is the movie that I've been waiting to make from the beginning," Trevorrow explained during a recent press event. "It's the one that we have spent the past two movies building to. It really was part of a larger story and part of the design. And I think people may be underestimating the size and importance of Laura Dern and Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum's characters in this movie. It is very much an ensemble, and that [includes] the ability to take these beloved characters from almost 30 years now, and understand how they interact with each other in the context of a world that we've really never seen before, and have not been able to witness until now. It's very exciting for me. I'm having the time of my life."

Directed by Colin Trevorrow, who wrote the screenplay with Emily Carmichael, and based on a story by Trevorrow and his writing partner, Derek Connolly, Jurassic World Dominion stars a large ensemble cast including Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Dern, Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, Daniella Pineda, Isabella Sermon, Justice Smith, Omar Sy, and BD Wong, all of whom reprise their roles from previous films in the franchise. They will be joined by Mamoudou Athie, Scott Haze, Dichen Lachman, Campbell Scott, and DeWanda Wise.

Jurassic World Dominion is scheduled for theatrical release on June 10, 2022.
