While talk of Marvel movies continue to dominate discussions about this summer’s biggest releases, Empire Magazine’s latest edition is here to remind us about a little dinosaur film that really feels like it has been 65 million years in the making. Jurassic World Dominion finally arrives in cinemas this summer after a length Covid delay, and the latest issue of Empire has delivered an epic cover split into two parts; one featuring the returning Jurassic Park team of Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum, and the other showing Jurassic World’s Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard with newcomers DeWanda Wise and Mamoudou Athie.

Empire released images of their covers on Instagram ahead of the issue’s official release next week. The two covers join together to make one epic piece that also features several iconic dinosaurs including Blue the velociraptor and the return of the long absent dilophosaurus last truly seen in Jurassic Park. It is fair to say that the trailers did enough to hype up the barnstorming end to the Jurassic World trilogy, and Empire is about to stoke those fires just a little more with some teasing all access information coming in the issue.

On their post, Empire wrote, “Hold onto your butts! The epic cast (and dinosaurs) of Jurassic World Dominion assemble for Empire’s world-exclusive cover shoot, more than 65 million years in the making. The first of two world-exclusive collectible covers sees the original stars Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum reunite. Bigger. Louder. More teeth. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard join newcomers DeWanda Wise and Mamoudou Athie on the second of two world-exclusive collectible Jurassic World Dominion covers.”

Ever since the words “Jurassic World” were mentioned, everyone had the same image in mind; a world where dinosaurs ruled the Earth once more. However, instead the first Jurassic World movie managed to rework the original Jurassic Park idea of a theme park where things go wrong, but they had the added touch of being able to slip in a healthy dose of nostalgia thanks to Jurassic World being built on the site of the old park. This meant a return to the old visitors center and more as the newest dino-filled attraction fell apart.

Now in Jurassic World Dominion, we are about to get the film that everyone has been waiting for since a T-Rex stormed around San Diego in the finale of Jurassic Park sequel, The Lost World. While Steven Spielberg only has his dinosaur roaming the city for a short while, this time around the world is full of prehistoric creatures who don’t have much consideration for the people they are sharing the planet with.

How this will all turn out in Jurassic World Dominion, is something we are now only a few months away from finding out after waiting a very long time the movie’s release. With returns for original Jurassic Park cast members and dinosaurs on the cards, there is nothing that will stop the movie being one of the biggest hits of the summer.
