A new Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom video introduces us to the Dinosaur Protection Group. Jurassic World totally rejuvenated the franchise when it was released in 2015, after lying dormant for more than a decade after the disappointment that was Jurassic Park III. Now, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom looks to continue the hot streak, but also looks to take the franchise in a new direction, as evidenced by this new video. There's now a group dedicated to the preservation of dinosaurs for future generations, headed up by Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire.

The video plays like a PSA for an activist group that you might see on late night TV, but swap out any endangered species that actually exists for dinosaurs. We see Claire speaking with a bunch of young kids in a classroom about dinosaurs and she also narrates the video, explaining the importance of the Dinosaur Protection Group, or PGA. This is quite interesting, as the kids in this video would have grown up in a world where dinosaurs have always existed. It's been said that Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will serve as a commentary for how we treat animals in the real world, and that's evident in this video.

The events in Jurassic World 2 take place four years after the theme park was destroyed by dinosaurs. Isla Nublar is now abandoned, with the surviving dinosaurs left to fend for themselves in the jungles. However, when the island's dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) set out on a rescue mission to save the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event. Owen is driven to find Blue, his raptor friend that survived the events of Jurassic World. After arriving on the unstable island, their expedition uncovers a conspiracy that could return our entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times.

This conspiracy is being kept secret and it seems like the filmmakers are pretty intent on keeping this movie's big reveals hidden until it arrives in theaters. While it seems like the volcano eruption in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom would be the biggest element of the plot, it's been said that the events of the first trailer only cover the first hour of the movie. So there's a lot we've yet to learn about how this movie's plot is going to unfold. Maybe Claire's saving of the dinosaurs will ultimately lead to some sort of Planet of the Apes situation? Just swap out apes for dinosaurs.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is set to hit theaters on June 22 and is directed by J.A. Bayona. Universal has already dated Jurassic World 3 for June 11, 2021, so they seem rather confident that this second movie in the new trilogy will do quite well. This new video also reveals that there's a website and social media channels for the DPG, which implies the group will factor quite heavily into the plot.
