Demand for the Snyder cut of Justice League is still raging on. In its absence, one diehard fan has taken matters into his own hands with the Justice League: Black Suit Edition, which was first teased at the beginning of this year. However, we now have a full-length trailer for the fan-made project and the results are pretty remarkable in terms of the amount of work that went into it. This should go a long way in helping some of the hardcore Snyder fans out there.

Zack Snyder famously stepped away from Justice League right before the reshoots were supposed to happen. Warner Bros. brought Joss Whedon on board to take over and the rest is history. After a massive amount of costly reshoots and behind-the-scenes drama, the movie was released and it tanked commercially and critically. DC fans have been begging for the studio to release Snyder's original cut of the movie ever since, staging protests, starting online petitions, and even raising money. This is where Chris Dawson's Black Suit Edition comes into play.

It's impossible to get any of Zack Snyder's untouched footage and there aren't a whole lot of deleted scenes to construct the Snyder cut of Justice League. With that being said, the Black Suit Edition decided to go a completely different route entirely. Original footage is paired with effects footage and then finally scenes from other movies from the DCEU are utilized. A new score has been completed and scenes have been drastically altered through the use of filters while making a completely new and unique cut of Justice League.

Some of the more drastic changes to the original Justice League cut that fans will enjoy are a change to how Superman is resurrected, a nice Darkseid subplot, how Superman gets the black suit, and much more. The trailer is just under 4 minutes and it's pretty impressive, considering the lack of original footage. While it's certainly not Zack Snyder's cut of the movie, it is something different and tries to get as close as it can to being something Snyder would have originally put out in theaters.

Zack Snyder has been teasing his original cut of Justice League on social media and in appearances over the course of the past year. Each time he does, DC fans get even more excited about the idea of Warner Bros. releasing his original cut. While it sounds like a great idea, the studio more than likely wants to move away from the situation and surely does not want to sink anymore money into a project which tanked at the box office and bummed out fans at the same time. Plus, the studio is looking to get away from the shared universe idea.
