Ben Affleck has been pretty reliably tight-lipped when it comes to anything Batman related. However, he did open up a little bit about the new Batsuit that his character will be using in Justice League. He also revealed that the new tactical Batsuit won't be the only one that Batman utilizes in the upcoming follow-up to Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

In a recent interview with Mario Lopez on Extra, Ben Affleck, who is promoting his most recent movie The Accountant, did loosen his tight lips a tiny bit to talk about the tactical Batsuit. While he didn't say much, he did say that the suit will relate to the nature of the mission that the Justice League will be on in the movie. Here is what he had to say about it.

"There's two suits in Justice League. One is the one that we've seen before, and then one that he augments because of the nature of the mission, which I can't give away. But it was a chance for them to play with the suit and add elements to it and kind of tech it out, and I thought they did a really good job. It was really fun."

Director Zack Snyder teased the new tactical Batsuit on Twitter recently, showing off a heavily armored Batman standing next to the Batmobile. Many fans were quick to point out that the new suit looked quite similar to Nite Owl's costume in Watchmen, which Zack Snyder also directed. Setting that aside, it is interesting that the DC Extended Universe is playing with the idea of different Batsuits for different situations, which is not something we have really seen in other big screen versions of the character. Though, this is something that has been played with a bit more in the comics and in some of the animated versions of Batman.

It is no secret that Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice was not what most fans and critics wanted it to be, but Ben Affleck's take on the Dark Knight was one of the more universally praised aspects of the movie. Even though it was brief, his screentime in Suicide Squad was also met with a positive reception, so we can only hope that Justice League can continue to provide some solid Batfleck action, as well as managing to piece together a more well-rounded and well-liked movie. Ben Affleck wasn't able to reveal anything in terms of plot or story for Justice League, but here is the official synopsis for the movie, in case you missed it.

"Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes-Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash-it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions."

Outside of Justice League, which a lot of fans and critics still have hesitation about, many of us are also very much looking forward to the upcoming solo Batman movie, which Ben Affleck is directing and we know will feature Joe Manganiello as the villain Deathstroke. Justice League just wrapped filming in London, which brings production one step closer to completion and will bring us one step closer to seeing that new Batsuit in action. Justice League is set for release on November 17, 2017.
