Ever since news broke that U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) will be back in the saddle in a limited series titled Justified: City Primeval, fans have been rejoicing. Olyphant, who starred in the critically acclaimed FX series Justified from 2010 to 2015, will return with an ensemble of actors joining the canon. Most recently added is Ravi Patel, who will play a character named Rick Newley. Patel has had recurring roles on shows such as TBS’s Wrecked, FOX’s Grandfathered, Netflix’s Master of None and ABC’s American Housewife. He has appeared in movies like Long Shot, Transformers, and Wonder Woman.

The limited series is a spinoff of FX’s hit Justified and is inspired by the Elmore Leonard crime novel City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit. All that is known so far about the revival series is that Raylan Givens left Kentucky eight years ago for a home base in Miami. Viewers will find Rayland balancing life as a marshal and part-time dad to his 14-year Willa, who will be played by Olyphant’s real-life daughter Vivian. Raylan eventually ends up in Detroit and involved in the case of Clement “The Oklahoma Wildman” Mansell, who is wanted by the police.

Several cast members were announced earlier this year. Vivian Olyphant will be making her on-screen debut starring alongside her father. Boyd Holbrook, who will be seen in the upcoming Indiana Jones 5, is cast as The Oklahoma Wildman who once had a confrontation with the gun-slinging Raylan Givens. King Richard Oscar nominee Aunjanue Ellis will star as Carolyn Wilder, a lawyer who successfully got Mansell released.

Australian actor Adelaide Clemens (Under the Banner of Heaven) will play Sandy Stanton, who is Clement Mansell’s girlfriend in Elmore Leonard’s book. Veteran actor Vondie Curtis Hall is cast in the role of Sweetie, a local bar owner. Playing the role of Maureen will be Marin Ireland (The Umbrella Academy). Fresh off his appearance in the season 2 premiere of HBO’s The Righteous Gemstones, but is perhaps best known for his role as Deacon Palmer on The King of Queens, Victor Williams has signed on to play the role of Wendell. Norbet Leo Butz will be playing a character named (coincidentally enough) Norbet.

Too bad they can’t raise Harlan County’s crime boss Mags Bennett (Emmy winner Margo Martindale) or any of her tads from the dead. Bringing back the sardonic never-miss sniper U.S. Marshal Tim Gutterson (Jacob Pitts) would be another delight. Though filming has begun on Justified: City Primeval, there is no word yet as to when the series will air.
