Fresh off his turn in Trouble with the Curve, Justin Timberlake is in talks to star in The Last Drop for Good Universe (formerly Mandate Pictures) and director Peter Sollett (Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist).

If a deal is finalized, the actor will portray an alcoholic restaurant critic for New York Magazine. The foodie realizes he must change his addictive behavior when he falls for a young woman.

Brandon Murphy and Phil Murphy wrote the screenplay, which landed on the 2011 Black List. Greg Shapiro will produce through his Kingsgate Films company, with Good Universe founders Nathan Kahane and Joseph Drake executive producing. No production schedule was given.

Justin Timberlake will next be seen in Inside Llewyn Davis, directed by Joel Coen and Ethan Coen, and Brad Furman's Runner, Runner.
