Spoiler Warning: This article contains MAJOR SPOILERS for Ant-Man and the Wasp: QuantumaniaAnt-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was a proper introduction to the Marvel villain Kang the Conqueror into the Marvel Cinematic Universe after a tease in the season finale of Loki. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Kang the Conqueror is one of the most dangerous villains in the comics and his arrival in the MCU has been met with much anticipation. The character is positioned as the next Thanos-level threat and will be the over-arcing villain of Phases 4 through 6 of the MCU known as The Multiverse Saga. This will culminate in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars.

While a version of Kang the Conqueror was defeated in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the film's mid-credit scene showed The Council of Kangs from the comics showcasing the true might of the Kang Dynasty. Famous alternate identities of Kang from the comics featured in the film's end credit scene include Immortus, Rama-Tut, The Scarlet Centurion, and Victor Timely. It appears these various versions of Kang will appear across the MCU in films and television series. With that in mind, here are the most likely places Kang will reappear in the MCU before Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

Moon Knight Season 2

Moon Knight TV series
Disney+

Marvel Studios has yet to confirm Moon Knight for a season two renewal, though star Oscar Isaac has hinted at it. Audiences are certain to see Moon Knight again in the MCU, though it is unclear where. There are still plenty of stories left to tell as audiences eagerly await to find out what is going on with the third identity inside Steven Grant and Marc Spector, that of the murderous Jack Lockely.

Moon Knight dealt with the world of the supernatural, so why would Kang the Conqeor show up in Moon Knight? One of Kang's alternate identities Rama-Tut was an Egyptian Pharaoh who was teased in Moon Knight season one. Rama-Tut appeared in the mid-credit scene of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania so this connection could be expanded upon in season two of Moon Knight and connect the hero with the wider MCU.

What If...? Season 2

What If Season 2
Marvel Studios/Disney+

What If...? deals with alternate timelines in the vast multiverse, and with how many Kang variants there were shown in the end-credits of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quatunamania some certainly must be from the various timelines glimpsed in the speculative Disney+ show While What If...? is positioned as an anthology series, it did feature an over-arcing narrative in its first season. The inclusion of Kang and his many variants in What If...? could further connect this animated series to the wider MCU as well as expand upon the villain and show more unique variations on the character.

Young Avengers

Marvel Comics

No Young Avengers project in the MCU has officially been announced, but much of Phase 4 and 5 have been about introducing a new generation of young heroes and many of them are members of The Young Avengers in the comics. Notably, one Young Avenger is a younger version of Kang before he becomes a villain. He becomes the hero Iron Lad and assembles the team in order to avert becoming the villain in the future. With that in mind, the MCU could introduce a young variant of Kang who decides to assemble The Young Avengers to stop his variants before the events of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

Deadpool 3

Deadpool 3
Marvel Studios

Deadpool 3 is confirmed to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which raises an interesting question since the first two films are rooted in the Fox X-Men films. How does Deadpool find his way into the MCU? Kang the Conqueror might be the key. Deadpool 3 might be a multiverse story, one that allows them to bring back Hugh Jackman as Wolverine without undoing the ending of Logan.

Deadpool 3 might see the merc with the mouth go up against a variant of Kang (possibly one that is native to the Fox X-Men universe) and see the destruction of the original Fox X-Men movie universe in an incursion, with Deadpool escaping into the MCU. This further showcases how destructive Kang can be as a villain while serving as a send-off to the original X-Men franchise.

Fantastic Four

The arrival of the Fantastic Four into the MCU is being hyped up as a major event. Kevin Feige has noted they will be a pillar of the MCU's future and seeing as how the characters were so important to the formation of Marvel Comics it is certainly exciting to have them finally join the MCU. The Fantastic Four also have a key connection to Kang the Conqueror that might indicate a version of him will play a role in the film.

Kang's real name is Nathaniel Richards, which makes him the descendant of both Reed Richards and Susan Storm of The Fantastic Four. In addition, he gained his time travel technology from an old device created by The Fantastic Four's arch-enemy Doctor Doom. Plot details regarding Fantastic Four are currently minimal due to the film not being set for release until 2025, so there is no word on whom the villain will be. However, it feels like a safe bet Fantastic Four will be an important film in fleshing out Kang's story.

Loki Season 2

The most obvious place Kang will appear next is of course Loki season two. Season one introduced the Kang variant He Who Remains, played by Jonathan Majors a whole 19 months before Kang's appearance in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. That series ended with the reveal that a Kang variant has taken control of the TVA setting up his involvement in season two. The post-credit scene of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was a clip from Loki season 2 of Loki and Mobius watching a Kang variant named Victor Timely talking about time to a crowd of people in the early 1900s.

Loki will likely feature more versions of Kang and probably will expand upon the Council of Kangs glimpsed at the end of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Loki is the MCU series that essentially kicked off the Multiverse Saga as chronologically it takes place first in the timeline, with Sylvie killing He Who Remains fracturing the sacred timeline. It is a safe bet Loki season two will play an even bigger role in developing Kang's backstory, motivation, and place in the Multiverse Saga.
