Shia LaBeouf recently conducted an interview, which means he's back in the public eye for speaking his mind and not caring about the repercussions. The new lengthy interview goes over many different topics from his distaste for working with Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg all the way letting rapper Kanye West 'borrow' some of his clothing. Included in that pile of rags was the hat that his Mutt character wore in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Over the years, people have noticed Kanye West walking around with a hat that looks remarkably similar to the hat that Shia LaBeouf wore in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. As it turns out, it's the very same hat that Harrison Ford gave LaBeouf. Over the years, while LaBeouf's career has taken him down different paths, his fashion sense has caught the eye of many in the know, including Kanye West, who befriended the actor a handful of years ago. In an unused verse for "No More Parties in L. A.," West raps, "I wish I dressed as fresh as Shia LaBeouf."

The two were pretty close for a while and were going to collaborate on an art project at one time. Shia LaBeouf recalls taking his mother to a Kanye West concert and going backstage to hangout. West asked him about taking some of his clothing for a pop-up shop to which LaBeouf agreed. The actor explains.

"Around the same time, I took my mom to his concert. She is, of course, obsessed with Kanye West. When I brought her backstage, he was a f**king sweetheart to her. And it just felt fair. So, I'm like, Go for it, my guy. Take everything you want. And he did. He took all my f**king clothes. Me and him haven't really been in contact since he blew up onstage and, you know, sh*t on me."

The clothes that he swiped included that infamous Mutt hat. Kanye West later had a meltdown on stage during his 2016 St. Pablo tour, where he ripped into Shia LaBeouf and rapper Kid Cudi. The two haven't talked since and West still has a bunch of LaBeouf's clothing that he wears quite frequently. When asked if he's tried to talk to the rapper since, LaBeouf says "Of course, bro. I f**king love Kanye West. He's going through a lot. And I don't know where he's at or what he's doing." Kanye has never given any of Shia LaBeouf's stuff back, including the Indiana Jones hat.

Kanye West has retreated from the public eye since he canceled the rest of the St. Pablo tour in 2016. Rumor has it that he's working on a new record in Wyoming with a bunch of collaborators, but no Shia LaBeouf. Hopefully one day LaBeouf will be able to get some of his clothing back, but it doesn't seem like something that the actor thinks about very much. Although it must be pretty weird to see one of the biggest musicians on the planet wearing a hat or boots that he stole from you. You can read the entire interview with Shia LaBeouf over at Esquire.
