Director and co-star Elizabeth Banks announced today that Sons of Anarchy and Married with Children star Katey Sagal has joined the cast of Pitch Perfect 2.

Known for her singing as well as her acting, Katey Sagal will play the mother of new franchise addition Hailee Steinfeld. She joins a cast of returning favorites that also include Anna Kendrick, Hailee Steinfeld, Brittany Snow and Adam DeVine.

Katey Sagal is expected to sing in the movie. She is currently on tour with her band in support of her latest album "Covered".

Kay Cannon, writer of the original 2012 hit Pitch Perfect is back for this sequel. Hailee Steinfeld is being positioned as the lead in future installments. It is not known if Katey Sagal will also appear in any more movies as the franchise moves forward.
