In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Katherine Heigl has signed on for The Age of Adaline. This film will be produced by Lakeshore Entertainment.

Sidney Kimmel Entertainment will co-finance and co-produce.

Mills Goodloe and Sal Pascowitz wrote the screenplay. It follows a young woman, "born at the turn of 20th century, who is rendered ageless after an accident. After years of a solitary life, she meets a man who might be worth losing her immortality."

The Age of Adaline is slated to start shooting in October as the producers try and find a director and other talent.

The Age of Adaline is the second project that Sidney Kimmel Entertainment and Lakeshore are partnering on with Heigl. They are also producing and financing the upcoming Heigl film One for the Money.
