Perhaps Bill & Ted 4 is not outside the realm of possibility. Back in 1989, Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves co-starred in the cult classic comedy Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, a movie about two teenage musicians using time travel to help them ace a history report. The pair later went to Heaven and Hell in the 1991 sequel Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey and more recently reunited for 2020's Bill & Ted Face the Music for one more time traveling adventure, this time as middle-aged parents joined by their teen daughters.

These days, Reeves is preparing for the release of his next film, DC League of Super-Pets, which features him as the voice of Bruce Wayne. In promotion for the film, which hits theaters on July 29, Reeves recently spoke with Entertainment Tonight about the bond held by his co-stars Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart. Reeves noted how the two actors have a "nice kind of free zone" when they work together. He was asked if there was any co-star from his career that he'd similarly want to team up with again and again, and Reeves had this response.

"Alex Winter. Let's make some more Bill & Ted!"

After the release of Bill & Ted Face the Music, Alex Winter spoke with MovieWeb about what could potentially be coming next concerning his collaborations with Keanu Reeves. When it was suggested that perhaps Winter and Reeves could continue to make new unrelated movies together outside of the Bill & Ted franchise, akin to Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder, Winter seemed very excited about the possibility.

"I would love to do that. Are you kidding? Anything that even vaguely approximates Gene Wilder. His career I will never come close to, but I can scratch at the feet of it. Please count me in."

Winter has also left open the door for a possible return to the Bill & Ted series. He previously spoke about the potential fourth film in an interview with Collider and said that he'd only agreed to do Face the Music because the idea that Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon came to them with had impressed the actors. Winter clarified that there are no plans for Bill & Ted 4 but that he'd similarly be open to returning alongside Reeves if the writers came back with another solid idea.

"We like working together. We don't need to do another one. We don't particularly feel there needs to be another one, but we would enjoy making another one. That's really the honest answer. There's nothing more to it. We are not currently planning another one. Certainly, no one has come to us and asked us to do another one. I don't know where those chips are gonna fall. I can tell you that, if there was interest in making another one, and Keanu and I had the ability to come in and do something that would be as satisfying as what we just did, sure. We would both be interested in doing that."
