Police officers responding to a call were shocked to find Keanu Reeves, the result of an apparent mix-up that had cops looking for a young woman at the actor's address. Per TMZ, the Los Angeles Police Department had gotten a call for a welfare check on a woman. According to the report, someone had called showing concern for the unnamed 27-year-old woman, claiming to be a friend who hadn't spoken with her in some time and was worried about her wellbeing. This alleged friend's story was plausible enough, as she reportedly provided a date of birth and information about what kind of car the woman drove.

In any case, officers went to the address given, and somebody answered the door, but it wasn't a 27-year-old woman. Cops were instead shocked to see that it was John Wick star Keanu Reeves, and it's hard to say who was more surprised in this situation. According to police, they explained the situation to Reeves, and he didn't have any idea what they were talking about. He says he did not know the woman, nor was she staying at his home. Unsurprisingly, Reeves is also said to have been "super nice and easygoing" with the police, and given what we know about the Bill & Ted star, that certainly sounds accurate.

As for the 27-year-old woman, it remains unclear if this person actually exists. Police haven't provided any follow-up information, such as if they've gotten back in contact with the original caller. This could be a case of the caller providing the wrong address by mistake, or it could have merely been a prank against both the cops and Reeves.

Reeves has had other issues come up at his home in the past. In 2014, he came across a woman he didn't know in the library of his house. Just days after that, another woman had gone skinny dipping in his swimming pool when he wasn't home. Cops managed to apprehend both women in those situations and nobody was hurt, though Reeves would say soon after that he'd upgraded his security at home.

More recently, the actor had another problem with a stalker that was considerably more serious. In February, it was reported that a man claiming to be related to Reeves had broken into the actor's mansion with a DNA testing kit, eager to prove his claims. That followed prior incidents with the alleged stalker coming onto the property, which Reeves' attorney says has been captured on security surveillance footage. After several alleged incidents of trespassing, Reeves was granted a restraining order against the man.

Reeves just recently returned to the big screen with the release of John Wick: Chapter 4, which has now surpassed $400 million at the global box office. He will reprise his role from the movie series for the upcoming spinoff Ballerina with Ana de Armas. That film will hit theaters on June 7, 2024.
