Ken Jeong has signed on to join the growing cast of Ride Along 2, alongside Ice Cube, Kevin Hart and new additions Benjamin Bratt and Olivia Munn.

No story details have been confirmed, but a report from last month revealed that the plot will be shifted from Atlanta to Miami Beach, where James Payton (Ice Cube,) and Ben Barber (Kevin Hart) will visit, as loads of shenanigans will likely ensue. No details have been given for Ken Jeong's character.

The sequel reunites the entire Ride Along creative team, including director Tim Story, writers Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi and producers William Packer, Ice Cube, Matt Alvarez and Larry Brezner. It isn't known when production will begin yet, but Universal Pictures has already handed out a January 15, 2016 release date for the sequel.

On the big screen, Ken Jeong voices a role in DreamWorks Animation's The Penguins of Madagascar, and he also stars in The DUFF. He will also return as Ben Chang when Community returns for Season 6 on Yahoo! Screen.
