A film about horse racings last Triple Crown winner has added a trio of actors to the cast. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kevin Conolly, A.J. Michalka and former Senator Fred Thompson have joined the cast of Secretariat.

Thompson will portray a horse breeder and former horse racer Bull Hancock, while Michalka will play his daughter and Conolly will play a sports writer. Margo Martindale, Eric Lange and Drew Roy have also joined the cast of the film, which stars Diane Lane as Penny Tweedy, Secretariat's owner.

Randall Wallace is directing the film. No production schedule was announced for the film.
