A few days ago we reported that Sony was moving the Kevin James comedy The Zookeeper into the summer 2011 frame and now it seems they're working with him again on a new comedy. Variety is reporting that James has joined the new Sony comedy Here Comes the Boom.

It was said that James would star and produce the film alongside Adam Sandler, who would only be producing, and it was also said that Salma Hayek is circling the female lead role as well. It was said, though that no casting deals have been in place yet, although Sony is closing in on deals for James and Sandler.

James wrote the script with Rock Reuben, who also wrote the James vehicle The Zookeeper, and while story details weren't disclosed, it was said to be an action comedy.

While a production schedule hasn't been officially set, it was said that the film could start shooting as early as January.
