Red State is deep into production, and director Kevin Smith has Tweeted the first official photo from this upcoming horror film, his first attempt at the genre. What we are seeing is the back of Abin Cooper's head (Michael Parks), a fundamentalist preacher based on the Westboro Baptist Church's own Fred Phelps. Red State is writer/director Kevin Smith's first foray into the horror genre. The movie pits a group of teenagers against a crazed preacher, giving a whole new meaning to the term "extreme fundamentalism".
