Sony Pictures has picked up rights to Go Fast, an action project penned by writer Rich Wilkes. Kick-Ass 2 helmer Jeff Wadlow will be directing.
The story centers on a group of DEA agents, who use speed boats to take down drug runners. It is being described as a Fast & Furious type project, but with boats instead of supercars. Broken Road's Todd Garner will be producing.
Jeff Wadlow is also directing X-Force, a spinoff of Marvel's X-Men franchise. Rich Wilkes is best known for writing the script to Rob Cohen's action film xXx starring Vin Diesel.
No production schedule has been released.
