Kim Kardashian joins the cast of Lifetime's critically acclaimed Sony Pictures Television series Drop Dead Diva for a multiple-episode arc beginning with the season premiere. The show's fourth season is set to begin filming in February, with new episodes premiering this summer.

Kardashian will play Nikki, Fred's (Ben Feldman) new love interest who partners with his ex Stacy (April Bowlby) in a new business venture. Kardashian joins an impressive list of guest stars who have appeared on Drop Dead Diva including Liza Minnelli, Rosie O'Donnell, Paula Abdul, Brandy Norwood, LeAnn Rimes, Elliott Gould, Kathy Griffin and Tim Gunn.

"I'm ecstatic to welcome Kim to the Diva family," said creator and executive producer Josh Berman. "In discussing the role of Nikki with her, I'm blown away by her smarts, sense of humor, and passion. This series is all about reinvention and I'm so excited to see Kim 'reinvented' in the world of Drop Dead Diva."

Kardashian will soon appear in director Tyler Perry's upcoming film, The Marriage Counselor and her previous television credits include CSI: NY and How I Met Your Mother.

Drop Dead Diva's third season averaged 2.3 million total viewers, and during its run helped propel Lifetime to the #1 slot on Sundays at 9 p.m. among Women versus all basic cable networks.

Drop Dead Diva tells the story of a shallow, aspiring model who dies in a sudden accident, only to find her soul resurfacing in the body of a brilliant, thoughtful and plus-size attorney (Brooke Elliott of Wicked DVD and Taboo). The series also stars Margaret Cho (Dancing with the Stars, Notorious C.H.O.), Jackson Hurst (Unforgettable), Kate Levering (Cashmere Mafia), April Bowlby (Two and a Half Men), Josh Stamberg (Lie to Me) and Ben Feldman (The Perfect Man).

Drop Dead Diva is produced by Sony Pictures Television. Josh Berman (Bones, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) is creator and executive producer of Drop Dead Diva, which is also executive produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron (Academy Award-winning Chicago, Hairspray, Lifetime's Living Proof) of Storyline Entertainment and Alex Taub (Eli Stone).
