Nanny McPhee director Kirk Jones will write and direct Everybody's Fine, a remake of the 1990 Giuseppe Tornatore-directed road trip picture "Stanno tutti bene."

Variety reports shooting is expected to begin in the U.S. in January.

Jones, who wrote and directed Waking Ned Devine, has already begun drafting an American-set version of the Italian film, which centered on a widower who realizes his wife was his only connection to his kids. He sets off on an impromptu bus ride to reunite with each grown child.
