Kit Harington portrayed Jon Snow through eight seasons of Game of Thrones, becoming a fan-favorite character during his time on the series. Audiences watched Snow as he battled White Walkers, rode dragons, and fought wildlings at Castle Black and The Wall. Game of Thrones is the project that launched his career and made Harington a household name, and he recognizes the importance of the universe created by George R.R. Martin.

House of the Dragon had its premiere for the first season last month, and HBO was hoping to bring the Game of Thrones fans over to the new series set 200 years before the events of the initial show. If 20 million viewers are any indication, the streaming giant succeeded, and it seems as though HBO has hit another home run. One fan tuning in each week is Harington, who claims he loves the series. Entertainment Tonight caught up with the actor while on the red carpet for Baby Rudy during the Toronto International Film Festival, where Harington said, "I'm really enjoying it."

"Yeah I'm really enjoying it. Yeah, my friend Miguel [Sapochnik] showrun's it, so I'm really enjoying it I think they've done a fantastic job. It's a weird one to start a whole new show in the same kind of realm and to make it it's own thing and I think that they've really done that."

Kit Harington Has His Own Spinoff in the Works

A Kit Harington-led Jon Snow sequel series was confirmed to be in the works back in June; however, there's currently very little concrete information about the project thus far. According to Game of Thrones co-star Emilia Clarke, the show is developed by Harington himself, although there's been no official word from HBO. Clarke told BBC, "It's been created by Kit as far as I can understand, so he's in it from the ground up."

"He has told me about it. And I know it exists. It's happening. It's been created by Kit as far as I can understand, so he's in it from the ground up. So what you will be watching, hopefully, if it happens, is certified by Kit Harington."

In addition, George R.R. Martin has confirmed the series is in development on his personal blog, calling it the brainchild of Harington with a working title of Snow. But, of course, Snow isn't the only spinoff in development. The Thrones universe currently has several projects in the works, including The Sea Snake, The Hedge Knight, and Ten Thousand Ships. Whether any of these shows receive the green light is currently unknown. However, fans of the Martin-created world would love to see all of them come to fruition.
