Directors Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg are in talks to helm Legendary Pictures' upcoming supernatural thriller Spectral. The Norwegian directors landed an Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Language Film yesterday for their biographical action film Kon-Tiki.

Originally penned by Ian Fried, the supernatural thriller follows a specialized task force that hunts evil ghosts in Manhattan, New York. Silent Night's Jayson Rothwell recently re-wrote the screenplay.

Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg made their directorial debut with Max Manus and directed a Budweiser Super Bowl commercial titled "Rex's Bad Day."

Production is expected to begin later this year. Kon-Tiki is slated to make a domestic run this March.
