Over the past few days, Warner Bros. has debuted brief trailer previews with new footage of the massive King Kong to prepare fans for the full trailer, set to arrive Wednesday, November 16. Today we have another brief preview, with new footage of King Kong smashing two helicopters together with his bare hands. It seems likely that another preview will arrive tomorrow as well, so stay tuned.

The preview debuted on Warner Bros. official Twitter account for the movie, which comes a few days after a new photo gave us our best look at King Kong yet. Director Jordan Vogt-Roberts revealed this summer that Kong: Skull Island will feature the largest version of this King Kong ever seen on the big screen. The director teased that his King Kong will be over 100 feet tall.

It's possible that they made the ape so large to even the odds, so to speak, when King Kong squares off against Godzilla in Godzilla vs. King Kong, which has been set for release on May 29, 2020. There have been reports that the Skull Island script features references to Monarch, the monster-hunting agency that was featured in the 2014 blockbuster Godzilla. Characters such as Dr. Ishiro Serizawa (Ken Watanabe) and Vivienne Graham (Sally Hawkins) worked for Monarch in Godzilla, but it hasn't been confirmed if they will return for Godzilla vs. King Kong or not.

In the spirit of its worldwide blockbuster Godzilla, Legendary Pictures presents a bold new take on the mythos of another iconic beast with Kong: Skull Island, which stars Tom Hiddleston.  Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts (The Kings of Summer) and written by John Gatins (Flight) and Max Borenstein (Godzilla), Kong: Skull Island will fully immerse audiences in the mysterious and dangerous home of the king of the apes as a team of explorers ventures deep inside the treacherous, primordial island.  Legendary's story honors the foundations of existing King Kong lore, but places it in an entirely new, distinct timeline.

Kong: Skull Island also features an international ensemble cast including Oscar winner Brie Larson, John Goodman, Samuel L. Jackson, John C. Reilly, Tian Jing, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, John Ortiz, Thomas Mann, Shea Whigham and Eugene Cordero. Thomas Tull (GodzillaThe Dark Knight, Pacific Rim) and Jon Jashni (Godzilla, Warcraft) will produce and Alex Garcia (Godzilla) will executive produce. Take a look at the latest trailer preview for Kong: Skull Island, as we prepare for the full trailer's arrival in just two more days.
