The cast for Trick 'r Treat director Michael Dougherty's Christmas horror-comedy Krampus is shaping up nicely. Adam Scott, Toni Collette, David Koechner and Stefania Owen have all signed on, joining Allison Tolman and Emjay Anthony. The plot is based on the ancient Pagan legend about a demon who punished evil children during Christmas time.

Adam Scott and Toni Collette are playing two parents, whose son (Emjay Anthony) becomes the Krampus' target. Adam Scott's character is described as a "workaholic, absent dad," while the mother played by Toni Collette tries to pretend that everything is fine with her family by preparing elaborate meals. Both parents are forced to step up and defend their family when the Krampus comes to town.

David Koechner is playing another father, whose daughter (Stefania Owen) has also gone missing, "under mysterious circumstances." Allison Tolman is playing the sister-in-law of Toni Collette's character. Production is scheduled to begin this spring, with Michael Dougherty directing from a script he co-wrote with Todd Casey and Zach Shields.

Adam Scott recently wrapped up his run on NBC's Parks and Recreation, and he currently stars in the big screen comedy sequel Hot Tub Time Machine 2. Toni Collette lent her voice to last year's animated hit The Boxtrolls, while David Koechner will next be seen in Scouts Vs. Zombies later this year. Stefania Owen is best known for playing Doritt Bradshaw on CW's The Carrie Diaries.
