That loveable panda Po had an amazing first day last week and it carried throughout the week. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kung Fu Panda had little trouble besting the DVD sales charts, after taking second place last week from just its first-day Sunday sales.

The title even scored off a unique two-pack which offered a full bonus animated film, Kung Fu Panda/Secrets of the Furious Five, which took the third place on the DVD sales charts. Two more new releases debuted in the top 5, with Star Wars: The Clone Wars at fourth place and This Christmas in fifth place. However, a big red machine performed strongly as well in its first week on the shelves.

Hellboy II: The Golden Army debuted on the sales charts with a strong second place to Kung Fu Panda, but scored the top spots in both the rental charts and Blu-ray sales charts, with Kung Fu Panda taking second place on both charts.
