Two weeks after Kevin Costner stepped away from Django Unchained, director Quentin Tarantino has found his replacement with Kurt Russell signing on.

Kurt Russell will portray Ace Woody, who runs the plantation owned by Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio). The story follows Django (Jamie Foxx), a recently-freed slave who hires a German bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz) to track down his kidnapped wife.
