As Blu-ray and HD-DVD both gear up for battle, Sony is foreseeing a problem for which they didn't anticipate: lack of "electronic components."

In an article from PC Mag, it seems that brisk sales of things like cellphones "and other devices" are going to have an effect on the demand for Blu-ray technology.

"Overall component supply is tightening up," said president and chief operating officer of the Sony Corp. division, Stan Glasgow.

He went on to say that Sony "would not have enough inventory to supply demand for next-generation Blu-ray DVD players in the United States."
