Be warned, potential SPOILERS for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever lie ahead.

Some alleged concept art for the highly anticipated Marvel sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has reportedly leaked online, and reveals a major post credits cameo. Shared to social media by Twitter user Moth Culture (among others), the artwork depicts the final moments of the Black Panther sequel, which will reportedly introduce Doctor Doom to the MCU.

Assuming that the artwork is the real deal, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will finally bring the big bad Doctor Doom into the MCU fray. Looking a whole lot like he does in the comics, the artwork depicts Doctor Doom sporting his iconic metal mask as well as his recognizable green robes, with everything possessing a comic accurate medieval flare. Currently, there is no word on who will play the part of Doctor Doom, with a recent plot leak claiming that a stand-in was used for the post credits sequence.

While predominantly a villain of the Fantastic Four, Doctor Doom is no stranger to the world of Black Panther in the pages of Marvel Comics, with the tyrant often attacking Wakanda in order to take control of the vibranium and use it for his nefarious ends.

Directed by Ryan Coogler, who co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Robert Cole, and starring Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, and Dominique Thorne, details of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever remain under wraps. At least, that was the idea anyway.

Plot details for the Marvel sequel have now allegedly leaked online (more than once), and reveal that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will center on a war between the African nation and the underwater world of Atlantis. So, not only will Doctor Doom make his MCU debut, the sequel will also introduce the likes of Namor the Sub-Mariner, the king of Atlantis, and Riri Williams AKA Ironheart, a young, genius inventor who creates a suit of armor that rivals that of Tony Stark and who is set to lead her own series.

Should the rumors regarding the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever post credits turn out to be true, it will no doubt lead into the MCU version of the Fantastic Four. Due for release as part of Phase Four of Marvel Cinematic Universe, details of Fantastic Four remain (much more successfully) under wraps.

Marvel fans though have now met one member of the superhero team, sort of, in the form of John Krasinski’s Mr. Fantastic. Introduced as part of The Illuminati during the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Krasinski has often been touted as a fan-favourite choice to play the character. Sadly, he ends up being transformed into human spaghetti before his head is popped like a balloon at the hands of The Scarlet Witch, with the role expected to be recast when the main version of the Fantastic Four eventually make their debut.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is scheduled to be released in the United States on November 11, 2022, as part of Phase Four of the MCU.
