Legendary actor Leonard Nimoy is gone but not forgotten. Nimoy, who's known worldwide for his role as Spock in the Star Trek franchise, passed away in 2015 at the age of 83. Seven years after Nimoy's death, his children posted messages of tribute online to remember their late father. Taking to Twitter, the actor's son, Adam Nimoy, posted a photo of himself from his childhood alongside Nimoy along with a touching message."Though Dad left us seven years ago today, he’s still very much on our minds. May we embrace his memory and Mr. Spock's message of logic and peace. Love to all, Adam," the younger Nimoy says in the tweet.

"Remembering my dad on the seventh year of his passing," adds Nimoy's daughter, Julie Nimoy, in a separate Twitter post. "Dad, you are hugely missed, especially your warm and loving hugs. Your memory lives on - always and forever."

Of course, the Star Trek family has also been honoring Nimoy. The official Star Trek account posted about Nimoy and refers to him as one of Star Trek's "greatest icons." Another tribute post comes from Captain Kirk actor and Nimoy's longtime co-star William Shatner, who simply wrote the late actor's name along with his birth and death date. Also included is a photo of Nimoy and Shatner together from happier times.

Last year, many fans banded together to pay tribute to Leonard Nimoy on what would have been his 90th birthday. His daughter Julie also shared a touching personal letter to Nimoy in honor of Father's Day, speaking about his life, legacy, and the wonderful times they shared together. She also spoke about how the PBS documentary Remembering Leonard Nimoy was continuing to air on public television to further keep his memory alive.

"You would also be very pleased knowing that in addition to the lung health community, your wonderful friends: William Shatner, George Takei and Mayim Bialik have all been so fantastic in helping us get the word out," Julie wrote. "I miss your bear hugs, warm laughter and enduring support. Happy Father's Day, Dad. You're always in my heart, and in my mind."

While Nimoy is missed by many, his legacy continues to shine very brightly. Rest in peace.
