It seems that J.J. Abrams is reaching into the world of his new film for his new TV series for an important guest-starring role. Entertainment Weekly's Ausiello Files is reporting that Abrams is nearing a deal that would bring Leonard Nimoy to his new series Fringe.
The actor worked with Abrams on his Star Trek reboot and it was said that Abrams is close to bringing on Nimoy for the pivotal role of William Bell on Fringe, the mysterious founder of Massive Dynamics and a former partner of William Bishop (John Noble).
It was said that the character would debut on the season finale and return for another arc in the second season. While the deal hasn't been officially signed, an insider said that, "everyone's optimistic" about Nimoy's involvement.
