Paramount has picked up the thriller pitch Letter of Last Resort from scribe Peter Landesman.

New York Times magazine foreign correspondent Peter Landesman has had several articles adapted into films, including his article "The Girls Next Door," an investigative piece about the world of global sex trafficking, was adapted as 2007's Trade starring Kevin Kline.
