In Lie Hard, Ian Niles (Millenniums) stars as Rob Smart, a "compulsive liar with an out-of-his-league girlfriend," Katie (Melanie Chandra, Hot Mess Holiday, Code Black). Hoping to impress Katie's wealthy father (Patrick Kilpatrick, Minority Report, Death Warrant), Rob borrows millions of dollars from a "vicious crime boss," Big Sally (Catherine Curtin, Stranger Things, Orange is the New Black), to purchase his own mansion and pretend he's also rich.

Unfortunately, Big Sally comes to collect much sooner than Rob had anticipated, and he is given one week to pay back the loan. His lies can only get him so far as his problems only increase with pressure from Big Sally to pay up. His only hope is to cash in on a rumor that there may be money hidden somewhere in the mansion. Rob enlists the help of some local thugs, Brick (Joel Marsh Garland, The Last OG, Orange is the New Black) and Clyde (Chris Jarell, Crown Vic, The Passage), but will this plan work, or will Rob's constant dishonesty ultimately catch up with him?

"This could have been a Ben Stiller movie," reviewer Ken Tingley said of the film. "Imagine Kathy Bates as the tough mob boss and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson as her muscle. Along the way, the loser enlists the services of two smarter-than-they-act shoplifters at the local all-night pharmacy because he is looking to buy power tools... Imagine a young John Goodman and Kevin Hart as the shoplifters who deliver some of the best lines in the final act of the movie and help to make our hero’s life even worse."

Lie Hard will premiere via VOD and Digital on Aug. 16, 2022, via Mutiny Pictures.
