Walter Isaacson's biography, "Einstein: His Life and Universe" has been sold to Lionsgate. According to Variety, Einstein will be produced by Alan and Gabe Polsky encompassing Albert Einstein's early life as well as his climb to iconic genius. Isaacson will be a consultant on the film.

The screenplay will focus mainly on Einstein's salad days of years 20 to 40 then culminating in his acceptance of the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921. The film will visit a philandering and sometimes struggling genius. Polsky states, "That is when he was at his most prolific, a rebellious character who challenged every theory and was ostracized by the scientific community, but who redefined how we look at the world and how energy plays into everything we do."

Lionsgate president, Mike Paseornek believes Einstein will be a front-runner for mainstream film. A production start date has yet to be set.
