Viva Laughlin star Lloyd Owen has signed on as the lead in Fox's one-hour pilot Inseparable. The casting lifts the contingency on the project, which is in consideration for midseason.

The Hollywood Reporter stated that Inseparable is a modern-day Jekyll-and-Hyde tale from ABC Studios and writer/exec producer Shaun Cassidy, and is about a partially paralyzed forensic psychiatrist (Owen) with a split personality whose alter ego is a charismatic criminal.

Inseparable is the second contemporary Jekyll-and-Hyde split-personality drama in the works at the broadcast networks for next season.

In April, NBC gave a straight-to-series order to My Own Worst Enemy, a one-hour from writer Jason Smilovic that stars Christian Slater as a middle-class suburban dad whose alter ego is a super spy. My Own Worst Enemy is slated to air in the Monday 10 p.m. slot in the fall.
