Tom Hiddleston's Loki is the hottest Marvel series on Disney+. First premiering on the streaming service last summer, Loki was created by Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness writer Michael Waldron, who also served as head writer. It follows Hiddleston reprising his role from the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the God of Mischief, this time putting him into the central role for six episodes.

Per Collider, Marvel head Kevin Feige had some high praise for Loki while speaking about the series at Disney's Upfront on Tuesday. According to Feige, Loki is officially the most-watched Marvel Studios series that's available to stream on Disney+. This is remarkable as all of the Marvel shows have consistently garnered rather strong viewership, but, of course, there has to be one series that's been watched more so than any others. And that series is Loki.

The news is not that much of a surprise, given the popularity of the Loki character that was around even prior to him debuting in his own solo series. Most of the Disney+ shows have also been developed as one-offs, and, as of now, only Loki and the animated anthology series What If...? have been given official renewals for a second season.

Loki Will Return for Season 2 on Disney+

New Loki Trailer Arrives, the God of Mischief Must Fix Reality on Disney+ This Summer

Tom Hiddleston has teased where season 2 might go, though nothing official has been divulged about the plot of Loki season 2. The actor has suggested that the God of Mischief could do some more leaping through different realities as he explores the multiverse. With these doors now fully opened with the big-screen MCU ventures like Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness jumping into the multiverse head-on, that seems to be a likely possibility.

"It raises questions of, well, maybe there are other parallel or alternate universes," Hiddleston said of season 1. "Maybe there are other realities, and the possibilities there are endless. I feel that at the end of episode five, Loki and Sylvie are close to discovering the answers to the questions that they have of who is behind the TVA and that, somehow, this will provoke even more curiosity about..."

Teasing there may even be more seasons beyond the upcoming second season, Marvel Studios VP of Production & Development Nate Moore added, "The one that comes to mind - and that probably isn't a secret - I think there's a lot of storytelling in Loki that's really irreverent and clever and cool, but also lends itself to multiple seasons in a way where it's not a one-off."

The first season of Loki starred Tom Hiddleston, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Tara Strong, Owen Silson, and Sophia Di Martino. It's not entirely clear who all will be returning just yet for season 2 though we can certainly expect for Hiddleston to return as the titular God of Mischief.

Loki is streaming on Disney+. Season 2 does not yet have an official premiere date.
