Walt Disney Pictures is following in Fox's footsteps from yesterday by adjusting its 2013 release calendar. First up is Lone Ranger, with Disney settling on a May 31, 2013 release. Yesterday we reported Lone Ranger will start production on February 6, 2012. As of now, Lone Ranger is the only movie scheduled for release on May 31, 2013.

Disney has also pushed Thor 2 from July 26, 2013, to November 15, 2013. Earlier today, Patty Jenkins was confirmed to direct the superhero sequel. Thor 2 is currently the only movie scheduled for release on November 15, 2013. The studio is putting Phineas and Ferb into the July 26, 2013 release date vacated by Thor 2.

In related news, The Weinstein Company has also made some release date changes. My Week with Marilyn moves from November 4 to November 23, and two of its horror sequels, Piranha 3DD and The Amityville Horror: The Lost Tapes, have been taken off the schedule. Piranha 3DD was slated for release on November 23 and The Amityville Horror: The Lost Tapes was slated for January 27, 2012. Both projects are being eyed for 2012 release dates.
