Just one month after filming began on the Top Secret Untitled Lonely Island Movie, Universal Pictures has handed out a June 3, 2016 release date. The comedy will go up against Warner Bros.' Me Before You and Paramount's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2. It isn't known how much filming remains on the currently untitled comedy, which was once believed to be titled Conner4Real, but Universal referred to the project today as the Top Secret Untitled Lonely Island Movie. Is that the actual title?

The story centers on Andy Samberg as Conner, a once-successful rapper whose latest album bombs, forcing him to go back to his former boy band to beg for a reunion concert. The comedy is said to be a spoof on recent concert documentaries like Justin Bieber's Believe and Katy Perry: Part of Me, but that has yet to be confirmed. Jorma Taccone, Akiva Schaffer and Tim Meadows also star in the comedy.

Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone are directing from a script they both co-wrote with Andy Samberg. Judd Apatow is producing alongside Rodney Rothman, Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone. Morgan Sackett is serving as executive producer. Are you looking forward to the Untitled Lonely Island Project?
