Super-producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura is turning to a new six-part book series for his next film proect. According to Variety, Bonaventura will produce an adaptation of the novel series The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel.

The films will be based off the six-part novel series written by Michael Scott, which follows fraternal twins Sophie and Josh as they are whisked around the world with the title character, an immortal alchemyst.

The first three books of this six-book series - "The Alchemyst," "The Magician" and "The Sorceress" - are on book shelves now, with the fourth book, "The Necromancer," due out in May.

No production schedule was given for the film adaptation.
